Outlet Mall Set To Open Early October
EL PASO, TX – The newest shopping mall in the city is set to open next month.
The Outlet Shoppes of El Paso, which will be located in the Northwest, will allow shoppers to buy products directly from manufacturers such as ADIDAS, NIKE, Banana Republic and Tommy Hilfiger, among many others.
The mall will consist of one level and will amass a total of 385,000 square feet, roughly, the equivalent of 20 football fields.
Prices at outlet malls generally run 20% to 70% less than at a regular department store, said Gina Slechta, the Director of Marketing for Horizon Group Properties, which owns the mall.
Slechtatells ABC-7 about a fifth of the 105 stores that will be located at the mall have been completed. “We have about 20 stores that are ready for stocking and opening, and we have 85 stores that are under construction right now,” she said.
Although the stores at the mall have yet to open, the mall is already having a big impact on the area’s economy, said Slechta. “Right now, there are about 300 people on the site who are construction workers and we have about 400 employees that are working to trainemployees, stock stores, and get ready for the grand opening.”
The mall will also house a soft play area and several food courts. Management officials with the mall and the stores will hold the grand opening on October 11th.
