Live Explosive Found In Central EP

EL PASO, TX. – El Paso Fire Department units are on the scene of a reported ‘live explosive find’ in the central part of the city.

Several residents in Central El Paso are being evacuated as firefighters are investigating reports of possible live ammunition at 3219 Wyoming.

Three units were dispatched at 2:30pm to Wyoming and Estrella. El Paso police are also on the scene. Firefighters have requested a Sun Metro bus to help evacuate the residents.

El Paso PoliceSpokesman Chris Mears confirms that asingle hand grenade, known as a’fragmentation grenade’with its pin and spoon still in place wasfound.
