Ysleta Port Of Entry Temporarily Closed For Suspicious Package
UPDATE: 4:49 P.M.
EL PASO, TX. – The northbound lanes of the Ysleta port of entry have been shut down.
Customs spokesman, Roger Maier,tellsABC-7 inspectors found a suspicious item in a vehicle that tried to make it across. The driver has been detained and the bomb squad has been called in, though they have not identified the item as a bomb specifically. This is affecting both car and pedestrian lanes.
Again, northbound lanes at the Ysleta port of entry are shut down. People can still cross into Juarez, and the cargo lanes are not affected.ABC-7 ismonitoring the situation and will let you know as soon as there’s a change.
