Police: Teen Injured In Alleged Vandalism Spree

EL PASO, TX- Emergency crews rusheda 16-year-old boy toa localhospital on Saturday, afterhe wasinjured while allegedly smashing in cars onEl Paso’sWest Side.

It happened around 9:30 p.m.Friday in a strip mall on N. Mesa near Resler.

Police say they were alerted to the scene after hearing a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found no one had been shot, instead, they caught up with the teen who apparently injured himself while allegedly doing his mischief.

Police did not reveal how they think the teen did the damage. At least one vehicle was soiled with blood, and officers say they think it wasthe boy’s.

Medical crews took the teen to a local hospital for treatment. Officials did not release extent of injuries, nor any word on the charges he nay face.
