El Paso Firefighters Say Goodbye To A Fellow Hero
EL PASO, TX. – El Paso firefighters said goodbye Friday to one of their own.
39-year-old Kip Hall’s wife and three children said goodbye to himFriday afternoon at theSanto Nino de Atocha Church. Hall’s fellow firefighters carried his casket, draped in an American flag, into the church where hundreds were gathered.
He died Sunday after losing his battle with cancer. Hall was an El Paso firefighter for seven years after serving in the army for more than a decade. His colleagues say he leaves behind a legacy with the department.
“We’ll always remember him. We’ll always remember him by his work ethic and we’ll try to better ourselves because of the lessons he taught us,” said Carlos Carmona, the El Paso Fire Department’s Battalion Chief.
Kip Hall is survived by his wife, daughter and two sons.
