Man Arrested For Stealing Foam From His Employer
SANTA TERESA–A foam manufacturing company employeehas beenarrested on a charge of larceny Over $500, which is a Fourth Degree Felony, when he tried to leave his work, allegedlywith some of the company’s product in his vehicle.
Martin Gonzalez, 18, was stopped by security officers at Foamex, after they had been advised not to let any vehicles leave the property. Those workers were issuedthat order afterGonzalez allegedly had been seen carrying the foam by another employee.
Security officers said they asked to search the suspect’s vehicle, but he refused, and drove away, hiding the roll of vinyl foam before returning to work, authorities said.
Gonzalezsaid he had taken the foam with the intent of usingpracticingsome break dancing. He was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center, sheriff’s officials said.
