Gas Prices Spike By 16 Cents In 2 Weeks

(AP) — Drivershaven’t been imagining those rising numbers at the pumps in the past couple of weeks. A survey released Sunday finds that the national average price for gasoline jumped 16 cents during that time.

According to the Lundberg Survey, which looks at 7,000 stations around the country, the average price of self-serve regular on Friday was $3.10 a gallon.

The cheapest price was in Phoenix, where a gallon of regular cost $2.87.

The highest was Honolulu, at $3.37.
