Man Found On I-10 Identified

HUDSPETH COUNTY, Texas – Police have released the name of the man found near death on the side of Interstate 10 near Sierra BlancaSunday afternoon. According to published reports the man was identified as Robert Joel Brown, 21. He was from Van Horn.

Brown died later that evening.

During their initial investigation, officials from Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office said the case had “questionable” circumstances.

According to the El Paso Times, investigators said Brown may have jumped out of the moving vehicle. Officials said until they can prove that is true they will treat the case as a homicide.
