EL PASO, Texas – Armed with chalk and creativity students at Chapin High School set out to transform a sidewalk on campus! The grey porous sidewalk is the canvas and chalk is their medium.

One hundred students set out Thursday morning to bring some color into their school. The annual chalk art project is a creative outlet for students who want to make bold statements. One student tells us drawing on the sidewalk brings back childhood memories. The students have been working hard to come up with a design that can be brought to life through chalk.

The annual art project is a gift to all students on campus.
