Police Say Multiple Cars Hit Man On Interstate
EL PASO, Texas – Police are looking for the drivers of at least two vehicles that struck a man on Interstate 10 late Tuesday night. According to officials, George SittingEagle,29, was killed when he was struck by multiple cars on I-10 near the Airway exit.
According to El Paso Police, one vehicle stopped at the scene, but a blue Chevrolet Camaro and a tractor-trailer may have also hit the man, but kept driving.
The interstate was closed down for several hours overnight while police investigated the scene. It reopened early Wednesday morning.
This is the 22nd traffic related death this year, compared to 26 in 2007.
Police said pedestrians are prohibited from walking on the interstate.
