Lower Valley School On Lockdown Monday Afternoon After False Alarm

EL PASO — Presa Elementary School in the Lower Valley went on lockdown Monday afternoon after receiving rumors of a person with a gun in the area, Ysleta ISD spokeswoman Patricia Ayala said. Police responded to the situation and found the threat to be a false alarm.

It is ABC-7’s policy not to cover unsubstantiated threats or false alarms because we don’t want our reports to lead to copycats.

Had it been a real threat to public safety, ABC-7 would have given viewers complete coverage of the developing situation.
