UTEP Issues Advisory On Fundraising Scam
EL PASO, Texas — UTEP police said that a group of people identifying themselves as UTEP students have been conducting a magazine sales fundraiser in El Paso neighborhoods.
University programs do not conduct this type of fundraiser, UTEP police said, so they suggest verifying the legitimacy of any fundraiser by calling the sponsor.
