Hanks JROTC Will Attend Presidential Inauguration

EL PASO, Texas — The Hanks High School JROTC will travel to Washington, D.C. for the inauguration of Barack Obama. They will watch the presidential oath and inaugural parade and participate in an inaugural ball, Ysleta ISD officials said.

The students will also participate in debates and visit Washington, D.C. landmarks.

Fort Bliss provided job opportunities for four cadets to raise money for the trip. Cadets participated in numerous fundraisers and the group leader Cpt.(Ret.) Eileen Williams obtained a grant to fund the trip, officials said.
