Overturned Semi-Truck Backs Up Traffic On I-10 Near Sunland Park
EL PASO, Texas -Traffic was backed up for miles Monday afternoon after a semi-truckoverturned about 1 p.m. on I-10 West near Sunland Park.
Police said a semi-truck was traveling west when the driver lost control. The semi-truck jackknifed and landed on its side. It came to rest across all three westbound lanes, blocking all traffic.
When police arrived,they diverted trafficthrough Executive andblocked several eastbound lanes, leading to long back-ups.
Motorists were taking all measures to avoid traffic, including off-roading and going up exit ramps.
No word on injuries to those involved in the wreck.
