Deputy Constable Now On Paid Leave
EL PASO, Texas — The Deputy Constable involved in a shooting last month is now on paid administrative leave.
Mario Ramos is accused of shooting a man during a chase in far east El Paso.
El Paso County Commissioners approved the leave as they await the results of a Sheriff’s investigation.
Ramos has a history.
In February, he was accused of beating two men during a traffic stop.
Before that, he was forced off jobs with the Socorro Police Dept, the Texas Dept. of Transportation and the Anthony Police Dept.
In those cases, he was also accused of excessive force.
