Man Sentenced For Allegedly Kidnapping 15-Year-Old Girl
EL PASO, Texas — An El Paso man was sentenced to five years in prison Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping a 15-year-old Vinton girl in September 2008, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced.
Twenty-one-year-old Julio Adrian Martinez allegedly kidnapped the girl in Vinton and took her to a house in Juarez where he had sex with her.
Martinez pleaded guilty in March to one count of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in a foreign place.
In addition to the prison sentence, Martinez must also register as a sex offender and be placed under supervised release for 10 years after he finishes his term, officials with the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
