Update: Police ID Person Shot At Northeast Bar

El Paso, Texas – El Paso Police have released the name of a man shot at a Northeast bar early Wednesday morning.

Jonathan Perez Torres, 27, of Chaparral, N.M., was shot in the torso shortly after 2 a.m. outside the “Misbehaving Lounge,” 10122 Dyer. He was taken by emergency personnel to William Beaumont Army Medical Centerwitha non-life-threatening wound.

Police say thatan argument had taken placebetween several individuals at the bar. The argument continued outside and an individual involved in the argument produced a handgun and fired multiple shots. As a result, Torres was struck and a vehicle in the parking lot was damaged.

Two men fled the scene in a pickup truck. At this time, investigators do not believe Torres had been involved in the original argument.
