City Taking H1N1 Vaccine Appointments

El Paso, Texas -The City of El Paso’s Department of Public Health will be booking new appointments for the H1N1 vaccine this week.

Appointments can be made from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling (915) 771-5759.

The vaccine is now available to all members of the public regardless of their risk level. The vaccine is available free of charge.

“The benefits of getting the H1N1 influenza vaccine far outweigh the very small risk of serious complications from vaccination. Getting the H1N1 flu can be dangerous and may be life-threatening to some people” Michael Hill, Department of Public Health Director said in a news release.For more information on the H1N1 flu,call 211 or visit the city’s Web site at www.elpasotexas.gov/health/h1n1.asp.
