Prisoner Escapes From La Tuna Federal Correctional Facility
ANTHONY, TEXAS — Area law enforcement authorities are looking for a prisoner that escaped from the La Tuna Federal Correctional Facility Sunday afternoon.
Anthony police confirmed to ABC-7 the prisoner is Alfredo Rivas, who they would only describe as an Hispanic man about 5’10” tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
According to police, Rivas escaped at about 5 p.m. Sunday. The facility is located in the 8500 block of Doniphan, which turns into Main Street in Anthony.
ABC-7 contacted La Tuna Sunday afternoon, but the staff at the facility would release no information. The facility’s spokesman was not available and did not return calls to our newsroom Sunday night.
