Suspects Allegedly Use BB Gun In Failed Store Robbery
EL PASO — Police investigators are still looking for a suspect in the failed robbery attempt of a South-Central grocery store.
Police say two men entered the Super Carniceria in the 3000 block of Rivera at about 8:40 p.m. Saturday. The men allegedly pointed a BB gun at the clerk and demanded money, police said.
However, the suspects apparently fled after the store’s owner appeared at the scene.
Officers responding to the call were able to locate one of the suspects, a 16-year-old man, a short distance away and arrested him. The second suspect remains at large.
Police have not released their identities.
