Mayfield Trojans Come Up Short In Championship Game

Mayfield High School was trying for its fourth state title in five years, but came up short this time as La Cueva defeated the Trojans 31-14 in the 2009 New Mexico Athletic Association’s Class 5A state football championship game Saturday afternoon in Albuquerque.
