Arrest Made In Friday’s Fatal Pedestrian Accident

EL PASO,Texas – El Paso Policearrested 34-year-old Samuel Reyes in connection with the traffic accident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian last Friday in the 6400 block of Gateway East.

Guadalupe Mijarez, 76, of the 2700 block of Dunoon was struck and killed by a vehicle allegedly driven by Reyes when she was crossing Gateway East.

Reyes, of the 10500 block of Ashwood,turned himself in at Police Headquarters on Monday. Reyes is charged with Accident Involving Personal Injury or Death, a third degree felony ) Reyes was booked in to the El Paso County Detention Facility. His bond was set at $50,000.
