El Paso County Judge Cobos Responds To Gov. Perry’s Spillover Plan

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso County Judge Anthony Cobos has directed the Office of Emergency Management to monitor border initiatives in response to Gov. Rick Perry’s activation of the Texas Spillover Violence Contingency Plan, according to a County news release.

Cobos has requested cooperation and coordination of the El Paso County Sheriff and County Mayors as things develop, according to the news release.

The County government stands ready to implement response procedures in the event the situation deteriorates but no interruption of county services is contemplated or anticipated, according to a County news release.
