UTEP Students Vote Today, Thursday On Proposed Athletic Fee

UTEP students will vote this week to decide whether or not to pass a fee increase.

The increase would mean students would pay up to $8 more per credit hour or about $96 more per semester. UTEP officials say the money from the proposed fee would go to the university’s athletic department and help pay for things like team travel, coaches’ salaries and student pep rallies.

Voting runs today until 2 p.m. In the UTEP Union East on the First floor and is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Undergraduate Learning Center. Students can also vote online at my.utep.edu.
