Chihuahua Prosecutors Seeking Charges Against Border Patrol Agent
Prosecutors in Chihuahua want charges filed against the Border Patrol agent who killed a 15-year-old Mexican boy on Monday.
They say Sergio Adrian Hernandez Guereca was killed on purpose. Federal prosecutors will decide if charges will be filed.
ABC-7 has also learned the FBI has opened a civil rights probe to investigate whether the agent shot Guereca without justification.
According to U.S. authorities, the agent opened fire because the group Guereca was with was throwing rocks and ignored the agent’s command to stop.
