Gov. Perry: The Border Is Burning
Citing the recent assassination of a gubernatorial candidate in the Mexican border state of Tamaulipas and a spray of bullets from a deadly gunfight in Juarez which apparently damaged El Paso City Hall, Gov. Rick Perry amped up the rhetoric regarding the federal response on the border, according to a report by KVUE in Austin.
?We have Washington sitting on their Hill, playing their fiddles, while the border between Mexico and the United States is burning,? Perry said. ?Burning with terrorists, burning with drug cartels and we need action.?
