Holiday Closures

Holiday Closures -El Paso City Hall will be closed on Monday, July 5, due to the July 4th holiday. It will re-open at 7 a.m. Tuesday 6, and the City Council meeting will begin at its regular time.

-The Clint Landfill will be closed on Monday, July 5, in observance of the 4th of July holiday. The Clint landfill, at 2300 Darrington Road , will resume normal operating hours, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesday (July 6, 2010). Residential garbage and recyclables collections will not be affected by the holiday since the City does not have collections on Mondays. Citizen Collection Sites, which are regularly open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, will not be affected by the holiday.

-The El Paso Museums of Art, History and Archaeology will be closed on Sunday, July 4. Municipal museums are always closed on Mondays to visitors and the administrative offices remain open for business. However, the Cultural Affairs’ and the museum’s administrative offices will be observing this holiday and will close on Monday, July 5. All divisions will resume regular hours of operation on Tuesday, July 6. Regular hours of operation are as follows:

-Cultural Affairs-Summer Hours Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

-El Paso Museum of Art Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Thursdays 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Sunday 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm Closed Mondays and major holidays

-El Paso Museum of History Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Thursdays 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Sunday 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm Closed Mondays and major holidays

-El Paso Museum of Archaeology Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday 12:00 pm – 5 pm Closed Mondays and major holidays.

-Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday, July 5, to allow employees to observe the Independence Day holiday. Emergency services and law enforcement in the field will not be affected, but the administrative offices of the Doa Ana County Sheriff’s Department will be closed. The closures also affect the solid-waste convenience stations in Anthony, La Mesa , Hill, Butterfield, Mesquite , La Union, Hatch and Garfield , all of which will open at 8 a.m. and close early, at 2 p.m., on Sunday, July 4, 2010.

-Most City of Las Cruces offices will be closed on Monday, July 5, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. However, emergency services such as fire and police will be unaffected. The following is a list of closures:

-All museums are closed on July 5th (the Museum of Natural Science will also be closed on July 4th) -Senior Programs will be closed July 4th and 5th -All recreation centers including the ARC and Club Fusion are closed. However all swimming pools, East Mesa Bataan Memorial, Laabs and Frenger pools will be open. -RoadRUNNER Transit and Dial-a-Ride will operate as usual, however offices will be closed. RoadRUNNER Transit and Dial-a-Ride will NOT operate on July 4th. -Branigan Library will be closed -Solid Waste Offices will be closed, however there will be normal trash collection on Monday, July 5th -The Foothills Landfill will be open regular hours until 4 p.m.

-Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande offices in El Paso will be closed Saturday, July 3rd and Monday, July 5th in observance of the July 4th holiday. Job seekers needing immediate assistance can visit the Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande Rapid Re-employment Center located at Bassett Place Mall, 6101 Gateway West, Suite 605.
