Onions Spill On I-25
There was a messy situation along the interstate in Las Cruces on Saturday.
An 18-wheeler packed with onions spilled its load after flipping on the freeway.
It happened just before 9:00 a.m. on Interstate 25 north, just past Lohman Avenue.
New Mexico state police told ABC-7 the driver of the 18-wheeler took his eyes off the road, drove off the median, overcorrected and that’s when the trailer tipped over.
State police said hundreds of bags filled with onions spilled all over the freeway.
The driver was cited for causing the rollover.
