Son De Madera Performing At Music Under The Stars On Sunday
Son De Madera will perform from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Music Under the Stars at the Chamizal National Memorial Park. Admission is free. Glass containers and pets are not allowed.
Son De Madera was founded in 1992 and are a part of the Son Jarocho movement – a musical and dance genre from Veracruz, Mexico. Learn more about the band here.
2010 marks the 27th season of Music Under the Stars World Music Festival! The outdoor concert series has become one of El Paso’s premier family events and one of the largest free music festivals in Texas. Boasting performances by both internationally acclaimed and local artists, Music Under the Stars’ 2010 season will feature evenings of Brazilian beats, Salsa and Merengue, Western Swing, Jazz, Mariachis, and our traditional 4th of July Extravaganza!
Certain visiting artists will give free master classes, fostering El Paso’s budding musicians.
