Missing El Paso Woman Found Dead In Juarez

An El Paso woman reported missing has been found dead in Juarez.

The body of Erica Isernia, 28, of De Leon street in El Paso, was found in the Juarez morgue on July 10, one day after she was last seen at the Whatever Lounge in El Paso.

Juarez officials told El Paso Police, the death did not involve foul play. Isernia had incidents in the past where she would be absent from family, but in those cases she always made telephone contact and that is what made this incident different, according to El Paso Police.

A friend of Isernia’s told ABC-7 last week that Isernia left the bar and got into a white Ford Explorer with a man who said he was in his early 30s and called himself “Gus.”

“I asked her ‘where are you going?’ She said, ‘this is my cousin, this is my cousin…don’t worry about it,'” Erica’s friend, who asked not to be identified and was with Erica at the lounge the night Erica disappeared, told ABC-7 last week. “This guy was like, ‘come on Erica, let’s go, come on.'”

Isernia had an infant daughter, Alejandra. Alejandra’s father, Alex, died of a drug overdose last year. Alex’s parents told ABC-7 that Isernia had drug problems in the past.
