Police To Offer VIN Etching This Week

There was a lot of demand for last week’s VIN etching service and El Paso Police are once again offering the service – free of charge.

The vehicle’s identification number (VIN) is the “fingerprint” of a car, truck, or SUV.

When that number is etched into the glass of your vehicle, it makes those parts less valuable to a car burglar. You can get the service at the El Paso Auto Registration Offices located at 7580 Alameda. Police will be there starting at 10 a.m. Friday and they will be at the Walmart at 8115 Yarbrough from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday
