Manhunt Monday 08/16/10: Andres Montoya

This week?s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual wanted for a violent family dispute. The target is identified as ANDRES MONTOYA (28).

FEBRUARY 2010: On Tuesday February, 17, 20010 at 3:30 am, Sheriff?s Deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex located in the 12100 block of Socorro Rd. El Paso County, Texas in reference to a Family Violence call in progress. Deputies arrived & met with a 27 year-old female (Victim) who told authorities that prior to their arrival, she & her 1 year-old son were violently assaulted by her ex-common law husband ? ANDRES MONTOYA. Investigation revealed MONTOYA who had a Protective Order against him by the Victim entered the residence through the front door without consent & began punching the Victim as she held on to her one year-old son. MONTOYA kept punching the Victim as she fell to the ground. As a result of the attack, the one year-old child struck his head on the ground where the young Victim sustained a bump & laceration to the right side of his head. Deputies searched the area for MONTOYA but were unable to find him.

Charges have since been filed against MONTOYA who remains on the run since the night in question. MONTOYA is wanted for multiple offenses & is believed to remain in the Borderland hiding with friends & relatives.

MONTOYA criminal history shows various arrests for Family Violence, Aggravated Assault w/ Deadly Weapon, Theft & Criminal Non-Support.
