Manhunt Monday 04/19/10: Erwin Rafael Molina

This week?s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual wanted for a Criminal Mischief / Theft incident that occurred in March 2009. The target is ERWIN RAFAEL MOLINA (19) of El Paso, TX.

MARCH 2009- On 03-01-2009 at approximately 9:00 am, Deputies were dispatched to a business in the 11800 block of Socorro Rd (Sun Tech Company) in El Paso County, Texas in reference to vandalism. Deputies arrived and met with the owner of the business who told authorities that three of his vehicles parked in the rear of his business had been vandalized overnight & some copper tubing had also been stolen. Approximately 7 windows on the 3 vehicles combined had been shattered for an estimated damage of over $2,000. It was later determined a vehicle had been backed into the chain link fence which damaged the fence but made enough room for the offender to gain entry into the property. Deputies found pieces of a broken taillight on the ground left behind by the suspect vehicle.

Further investigation led Deputies to a residence in the 11700 block of Brisa Del Valle El Paso County, TX. Deputies located dark gray Dodge Dakota with the same tire tread as the tire tracks found at the business. Deputies also observed the left tail lamp and rear bumper had been damaged. Deputies made contact with a male subject identified as ERWIN RAFAEL MOLINA who admitted to Deputies he had in fact broken into the business to steal copper tubing & damaged several vehicles while in the property. Deputies arrested MOLINA and booked him on Criminal Mischief & Theft Charges. In April 2009, Molina was placed on 2 years probation for his crime.

MARCH 2010- MOLINA has failed to report to court on the said charges & is now wanted for Probation Revocation for the Criminal Mischief charge & Motion to Adjudicate Guilt on his Theft Charge. MOLINA is wanted on another unrelated charge of Accident Involving Damage to vehicle (Socorro PD Case) & over $3,700 in outstanding traffic citations & class C offenses.

Deputies have searched the MOLINA but have been unable to locate him. MOLINA has refused to turn himself in & remains at large. He is said to remain in the Borderland hiding with family & friends eluding capture.
