Crash On I-10 Saturday Morning Leaves 1 Dead
A car crash left one man dead on eastbound Interstate 10 in west El Paso at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
The El Paso Police Department said a Victor Aguilar, 41, was heading eastbound in his Mercedes on I-10 near the Mesa on-ramp when he drifted off the freeway, rolled over several times and came to rest in a drainage gully.
The crash shut down traffic from the Redd Road exit to the Mesa on-ramp.
Police said Aguilar wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they have ruled out speed as a factor in the crash.
