El Paso Police Officer Indicted In Sexual Assault

An El Paso Police officer was indicted Monday on suspicion of sexually assaulting of an unconscious woman, according to court documents.

According to the indictment, Officer Mark Munoz of the Pebble Hills division fondled an unconscious woman’s genitalia a year ago.

The indictment doesn’t state whether or not Munoz was on duty at the time.

Munoz was honored earlier this year by the El Paso Fire Department for saving a man’s severed arm in an industrial accident.

He was booked and released on a $10,000 bond. His arraignment is scheduled for Thursday.
