Person Dies After Vehicle Rollover In Santa Teresa

One person is dead after a serious rollover near the Santa Teresa Airport Friday night.

Dona Ana County Sheriff’s investigators said the victim hasn’t yet been identified because of the severity of that person’s injuries.

According to authorities, three people were in a vehicle when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to roll.

Investigators said the victim was partially thrown out and died at the scene. They said alcohol was a factor and they believe none of the passengers were wearing their seat belts.

The driver has been identified as Jorge Polanco and was taken to a local hospital.

The other passenger has been identified as Sergio Carrillo-Guerreo. Authorities said he ran away.

Investigators said he is wanted for questioning. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call investigators at 575-386-4301.
