Man Charged With Murder In Weekend Stabbing
El Paso Police have arrested and charged two men who were allegedly involved in an altercation at the Golden Nugget bar over the weekend that resulted in the death of Ubaldo Solis.
Police said Jose Angel Bonilla, of the 800 block of Lafayette, was involved in the confrontation with Solis and a group of other men inside the bar at about 1:58 a.m. Saturday.
The confrontation became physical and Bonilla allegedly stabbed Solis in the neck and Solis died as a result of those injuries. The investigation further revealed that Darrell Brown, of the 7700 block of Corozal, was driving the vehicle that, according to police, intentionally struck a 23-year-old man that was also involved in the confrontation. That victim remains hospitalized at this time.
Bonilla has been charged with Murder and was booked on bonds totaling $200,608.10. Brown was charged with Aggravated Assault and booked on a $100,000 bond.
