Louisiana Tech 41, New Mexico St. 20

Ross Jenkins ran for one touchdown and rushed for another as Louisiana Tech beat New Mexico State 41-20 Saturday.

Jenkins finished with 184 passing yards, completing 19 of 31 attempts for Louisiana Tech (4-6, 3-3 Western Athletic).

Lennon Creer rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown. Phillip Livas rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns, including runs of 62 yards and 9 yards.

Leading 24-17 going into the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs scored 17 points, 14 of which came in the final 5 minutes of play, to put things away.

Livas scored both of Louisiana Tech’s fourth-quarter touchdowns, a 62-yarder on a sweep-left and a 9-yard dart up the middle with 1:31 left on the clock.

New Mexico State (2-8, 1-4) was led by Robert Clay, who rushed for 108 yards on 22 carries in his first start of the season.
