Woman Arrested For Selling Alcohol To Minors
While patrolling the area near the Westside Beer Depot in the 5800 block of Westside Drive on Friday, El Paso County sheriff’s officials said a deputy noticed a teenager walk into the store while two other teens stayed in a car.
According to authorities, the deputy stopped to watch what was going on. That’s when they said the deputy saw the teen leave the beer depot with alcohol then drive off in the car with the two other teenagers.
Officials said the deputy stopped the car and found all occupants were minors under 21 years old and in possession of alcohol. Sheriff’s officials said there were seven cans of Budweiser, one can of FourLoko and a bottle of Smirnoff Ice.
After further investigation, deputies learned the owner had sold the alcohol to the teenagers, officials said.
The minors, identified as Phillip Passmore, 20, Daniel Avalos, 19, and Alfredo Ibarra, 18, were all cited on charges minors in possession of alcohol.
The owner of the beer depot, Briselda Morales, 30, was arrested and charged with selling alcohol to minors. According to sheriff’s officials this wasn’t her first time. They said she was arrested for the same thing last Sunday.
