Local Movie Theater To Get Motion Effects Seats

D-Box Technologies Inc. announced on Monday an agreement with Premiere Cinemas in El Paso to equip the theater with D-Box MFX Seats.

Premiere Cinema 18 at Bassett Place will debut the motion technology seats Nov. 19 with the premiere of “Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.”

According to D-Box’s Website, MFX technology uses “intelligent movement” – subtle pitch, roll and heave – to move you gently forwards and backwards, from side to side and up and down, combined with D-BOX-encoded intelligent vibrations, to create an all-encompassing entertainment experience ever.

“We’re excited and our guests are going to be excited about D-BOX in El Paso,” said Martin Watson, Premiere’s Director of El Paso Operations. ” “The D-BOX experience is like nothing else and we expect overwhelming reactions from moviegoers like we’re getting in other locations where we’ve already installed D-BOX.”

D-Box seating costs $16 for a regular movie and $19 for a 3-D movie.
