Two Stabbed After Confrontation In Bar Parking Lot
El Paso Police are investigating a double stabbing that happened outside a West Side bar early Tuesday morning.
Officers from the El Paso Police Department’s Westside patrol responded to a stabbing at 2:04 a.m., Tuesday and found that a 30-year-old man (victim one) and 40-year-old man (victim two) were exiting Liquor Dicks at 2712 N. Mesa with several other people, when a confrontation began.
As a result of the confrontation, Victim one received numerous stab wounds to his upper torso and was transported to University Medical Center (UMC) in serious condition by Fire Medical Service. Victim two was transported to an area hospital by a private party and did not seek treatment for his non-life threatening injuries.
“The information that we have is that the individual who did the stabbing had a confrontation with multiple other people in the parking lot,” said EPPD spokesman Darrel Petry.
Detectives from the Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons (CAP) section were called to assist with this investigation. Victim one remains at UMC. CAP Detectives continue to investigate this case.
