Wintry Weather Could Affect Fans Traveling To Albuquerque For Bowl Game
Miner fans traveling to Albuquerque for the New Mexico Bowl could run into some bad weather.
Snow is expected to continue to spread across much of northern and central New Mexico today as a potent upper level trough approaches from the west and cold air funnels into northern and eastern parts of the state behind a cold front, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a winter storm warning for heavy snow, which is in effect until 11 a.m. MST Friday.
Snow accumulations are expected to be between 3 to 5 inches.
Snow will gradually spread eastward down the I-40 corridor across east central New Mexico today. Snowfall will be heavy at times late tonight through Friday morning.
