Ft. Bliss Soldier Spends Christmas With Family From Chaparral
It’s a cherished Sun City holiday tradition.
This Christmas we joined the Hennessy family, as they welcomed Private Nathan Murphy.
Private Murphy told us he’s from Ohio, and he’s been in El Paso for just over a month.
He said he was a little nervous about spending Christmas with the Hennessys, but it didn’t take long before they made him feel right at home.
“They made me feel real comfortable. I mean, you could tell they’re nice people just by the vibe they give off. Like, in the car ride it felt like I’d known them for longer than what I have.”
Private Murphy also told us he’s thankful to all the borderland families that participated in the program.
