Manhunt Monday 12/27/10: Andres Rafael Salas
This week’s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual wanted for a Violent 2009 Assault on his then 5 month pregnant girlfriend. The target is identified as ANDRES SALAS (27) of El Paso, TX.AUGUST 2009: In August of 2009, after getting in a verbal argument with his then girlfriend, SALAS unlawfully, intentionally and knowingly entered her apartment located in the 7600 block of North Loop El Paso, Texas through a back window & proceeded to violently assault the woman who was 5 months pregnant. SALAS even shoved the woman by her stomach causing her to fall down. SALAS then grabbed the woman by the neck choking her as he pinned her up against the wall. SALAS then took money from the woman’s purse & other items from from the apartment before fleeing the scene. SALAS was arrested a short time later. SALAS has recently failed to show for court for this incident & the 243rd District Court has issued a warrant of arrest for the apprehension of ANDRES SALAS for the offense of BURGLARY OF HABITATION. SALAS is also wanted for an AGGRAVATED ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON charge stemming from a December 2007.SALAS is known to work in welding & has several contact in the El Paso, TX area.
