Miami Holds First Practice; Still No QB Decision

The University of Miami football team held its first of three bowl practices at William H. Burges High School in El Paso Monday morning, practicing for just under two hours on Mustang Stadium’s field turf surface.

“We’ve been practicing hard this week and the last couple weeks,” senior wide receiver Leonard Hankerson said on Miami’s official Website. “We’ve been coming together, having fun and making the best of the situation. Us coming together as a team for this game is going to be a good thing for us.”

The team split time between group and team drills, with a continued emphasis on special teams.

Miami’s starting quarterback for the Hyundai Sun Bowl has not been named yet.
