Man Involved in Last Week’s SWAT Standoff Is Back in Jail

A man who was involved in a standoff with police last week in west el paso is under arrest again.

Police said they have arrested 53-year-old Juan Solis just down the street from the scene of last Wednesday’s SWAT stalemate.

In that incident, Solis allegedly argued with his wife, and then he hit her in the face and threatened her with a gun.

The woman and two children who were at the home when the standoff broke out where able to get out unharmed.

Following that incident a protective order was issued barring Solis from coming by the home.

Investigators said he violated that order at least 4 times before they finally caught him yesterday.

Solis violated the protective order yet again when he called his wife several times from jail. Today he remains in jail on a $23,500 bond.
