Lower Valley Home Fire Causes $100,000 In Damage

The El Paso Fire Department responded to a fire shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday when a carport and enclosed garage caught fire at a home in El Paso’s lower valley.

Fire officials said when they responded to the fire in the 5200 block of Wally Drive they found heavy smoke and fire pouring from the garage area of the home.

Two vehicles inside the carport were damaged, along with the carport and garage structures.

Investigators have not determined the cause at this time.

Damage to the vehicles and structure is estimated at $100,000.
