4th Man Arrested In Ranitas Bar Stabbing

A fourth man involved in the stabbing at Ranitas bar on Alameda Avenue earlier last week was arrested in the lower valley, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Victor Montoya, 40, is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and criminal attempted murder.

The other three men involved; Ruben Alvarado Jr., 27; Victor Simental, 35; and Jesus Marcial Luna, 29, were arrested and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and criminal attempted murder last Tuesday.

Police said Montoya fired a gun during the attack. No one was hit.

The victim was punched and stabbed twice in the back. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he’s recovering.
