Las Cruces Bowling Massacre To Be Featured On Anderson Cooper Show Today
CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” will feature the 1990 Las Cruces Bowl mass-shooting during an investigative special that’s tentatively scheduled to air Thursday, Jan. 20, according to KRWG.
The Feb. 10, 1990, Las Cruces Bowl shooting claimed four lives and left three others severely injured. No arrests have been made and Las Cruces Police investigators continue to actively investigate the case.
Killed were 26-year-old Steven Teran and his two daughters – Paula Holguin, 6, and 2-year-old Valerie Teran. Amy Hauser, 13, also was found dead inside the bowling alley. Severely injured were Melissa Repass, 12 at the time, her mother Stephanie Senac, 34, and 33-year-old Ida Holguin.
The two men believed to be responsible for the mass-shooting have never been identified. In 1990, the older suspect was said to be in his late 30’s or early 40’s. The younger suspect was believed to be in his late 20’s. Today, the older suspect would be in his late 50’s or early 60’s while the younger suspect would be in his late 40’s or in his early 50’s.
A CNN correspondent and videographer were in Las Cruces last week to interview survivors of the mass-shooting, and current and former LCPD investigators.
“AC-360,” a two-hour television news show that airs at 8 p.m. (MST) weekdays on CNN, is featuring several unsolved crimes during January. Other cold cases that have been re-examined on “AC-360” include the 1996 murder of JonBenet Ramsey in Boulder, Colo., and the 1997 slaying of hip hop artist Biggie Smalls in Los Angeles.
