El Paso DWI Task Force Week Five Results

El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen’s supplemented DWI task force has ended the fifth week of operations. The supplemented task force began it efforts on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011.

Week five totals include: DWI = 19 arrested, five Minor Detectable, 16 other arrests, 151 hazardous citations, 139 non-hazardous citations, two pedestrian violations, four Minors in Possession of Alcohol.

Totals for all five weeks of DWI task force operations: 122 people arrested for DWI, 23 for Minor detectable, 1,499 citations, 29 minors in possession/consumption alcohol and 39 pedestrian violations.

This supplemented DWI Task Force will continue until further notice, according to police officials.
